Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Axiom AI processes information for Shopify merchants who install and use the app.

Information we collect

We collect information needed to install, operate, and support Axiom AI, including shop domain, app session data, billing plan status, recommendation scene settings, and product catalog data available through the Shopify scopes approved by the merchant.

When the storefront widget is enabled, we may process recommendation events such as impressions, clicks, product handles, page context, timestamps, pseudonymous visitor or session identifiers, and attribution signals that help merchants understand recommendation performance.

How we use information

We use this information to provide product recommendations, sync catalog data, display storefront widgets, maintain app settings, measure impressions and clicks, support billing, improve recommendation quality, and troubleshoot the app.

We do not sell merchant, customer, or shopper data. Optional analytics or marketing integrations are used only when configured by the merchant.

Customer data and privacy requests

Axiom AI supports Shopify privacy compliance webhooks for customer data requests, customer redaction, and shop redaction. When Shopify sends a valid privacy webhook, we verify the request signature and process the request according to the applicable Shopify privacy workflow.

The app is designed to minimize personally identifiable information. Customer information is only processed when required for enabled Shopify features, attribution, support, or compliance.

Data sharing and service providers

We may use hosting, database, infrastructure, logging, and analytics service providers to run the app. These providers process data only as needed to deliver Axiom AI and maintain reliable service.

Shopify may receive app, billing, and webhook information as part of the normal Shopify platform workflow.

Data retention and deletion

We retain app data only as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal or billing obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security. Event and recommendation data may be aggregated for reporting.

When a merchant uninstalls Axiom AI or Shopify sends a valid shop redaction request, we delete or anonymize store-related data that is no longer required.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect app data. Webhooks are verified with HMAC signatures before processing.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect the information used by Axiom AI.
